In Friday's league game, the host Fike Demons baseball team scored a close 4-0 win over the South Johnston Trojans.

The Demons (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Spartans go into the Quad County 3A game with a 0-7 record. In their last game, Smithfield-Selma was overwhelmed by Hunt (Wilson, NC), 15-0, in a league game.

Next, the Trojans play the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons (Pikeville, NC) in a Quad County 3A game, on Tuesday, March 18. South Johnston will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Golden Falcons go into the game with a 2-5 record after their 10-5 league win over East Wake (Wendell, NC).
