California High School Softball - Piner edged by St. Vincent de Paul

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs softball team scored a close 6-5 triumph over the Piner Prospectors.

With the triumph, St. Vincent de Paul moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Credo (Rohnert Park, CA) to play the Gryphon in a non-league contest on Friday, March 18. The Gryphon come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Credo won 11-1 in their recent non-league contest against Healdsburg (Healdsburg, CA)

In their next game, the Prospectors play the Ukiah Wildcats (Ukiah, CA) in a North Bay - Redwood contest, on Thursday, March 17. Piner will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 19-10 league win over Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, CA).
