North Carolina High School Softball - Patton bounces Freedom

March 15, 2023: Morganton, NC 28655

Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) and the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), witnessed Patton's softball squad tip Freedom by a count of 16-9.

The Panthers now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Brevard for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A match on Thursday, March 16. Patton will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Freedom moves to 2-4 on the season. The Patriots host Burns (Lawndale, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Friday, March 17. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 4-3. Burns lost 11-1 in their recent non-league match against Crest (Shelby, NC)
