The Hunt Warriors softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans to 1 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Hunt moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Warriors host Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to clash with the Saints in a Quad County 3A game on Tuesday, March 19. The Saints come into the game with a record of 0-5. Southern Wayne lost 13-1 in their recent league game against West Johnston (Benson, NC)

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 18. Smithfield-Selma will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 0-4 record after their 17-0 league loss to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC).
