Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad gain a win over the host New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 13-10 in a non-league battle.

The Cougars now have a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Carteret for a Coastal/Northeastern Coastal battle on Friday, March 18. Croatan will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Broughton Capitals (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 19. New Bern will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Capitals come into the battle with a 5-1 record after their 14-10 non-league win over East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC).
