The Mitchell County Eagles baseball team scored 22 runs and limited the host Baker County Bears to 8 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Stewart County (Lumpkin, GA). The Royal Knights go into the 1A D-II Area 1 match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Stewart County was overwhelmed by Early County (Blakely, GA), 18-2, in a non-league match.
The Bears (0-5) will now prepare for their match against Westwood (Camilla, GA). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 6-2 record.
