The Middle Creek Mustangs lacrosse team scored 13 points and held the visiting Apex Cougars to 11 in the Mustangs league win on Thursday.
The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Patriots go into the Southwest Wake match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Apex Friendship nudged Cary (Cary, NC), 26-4, in a league match.
The Cougars (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC). The Golden Hawks go into the Southwest Wake match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Holly Springs was nudged by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 16-12, in a non-league match.
