North Carolina High School Softball - Marlboro County edged by Scotland

March 17, 2022: Laurinburg, NC 28352

In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Scotland Fighting Scots softball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Marlboro County Bulldogs.

Coming up next, the Fighting Scots encounter the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A outing, on Tuesday, March 22. Scotland will attempt to improve on its 7-0 season record. The Patriots enter the outing with a 3-4 record after their 10-1 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).

The Bulldogs (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Lake City (Lake City, SC). The Panthers enter the AAA Region 6 outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Lake City was tipped by Lamar (Lamar, SC), 14-3, in a non-league outing.
