The Scotland Fighting Scots softball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Marlboro County Bulldogs to 3 in the Fighting Scots non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Scotland moves its record to 15-0 on the year. The Fighting Scots travel to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a Sandhills 3A/4A game on Wednesday, April 13. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 5-10. Pinecrest won 10-5 in their recent non-league game against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC)
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Latta Vikings (Latta, SC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, April 20. Marlboro County will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 2-0 record after their 4-3 league win over Marion (Marion, SC).
