The Asheboro Blue Comets baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Eastern Randolph Wildcats to 8 in the Blue Comets non-league victory on Friday.
The Blue Comets (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies enter the Mid-Piedmont 3A contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Oak Grove tipped West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC), 5-1, in a non-league game.
The Wildcats (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC). The Warriors go into the Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Wheatmore tipped West Davidson (Lexington, NC), 5-4, in a non-league game.
