In Monday's non-league outing, the host Piedmont Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 win over the Union Academy Cardinals.

The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the Rocky River 2A/3A outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Forest Hills by Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC), 3-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Cardinals confront the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A outing, on Wednesday, March 19. Union Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Comets enter the outing with a 1-5 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).
