North Carolina High School Softball - Gray's Creek gets by Lumberton

March 18, 2022: Hope Mills, NC 28348

The Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) softball nipped the visiting Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC), 2-1 in Friday's league bout.

The Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Tigers go into the United Eight 3A/4A bout with a 3-3 record.

The Pirates now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Jack Britt for a United Eight 3A/4A bout on Monday, March 21. Lumberton will confront a Buccaneers squad coming off a 16-5 league loss to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 2-2.
