Burroughs Burros (Ridgecrest, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hesperia Scorpions (Hesperia, CA), 14-8 in a league challenge.

The Burros now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sultana for a Mojave River challenge on Wednesday, March 20. Burroughs will battle a Sultans squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Citrus Valley (Redlands, CA). The Sultans record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Hesperia falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Hesperia Christian (Hesperia, CA) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Hesperia Christian won 17-2 in their recent non-league challenge against California Lutheran (Wildomar, CA)
