North Carolina High School Baseball - North Brunswick edged by Topsail

Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) followers left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad nip the host North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC), 6-5 in a league match.

With the triumph, Topsail moves its record to 6-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to battle the Cougars in a Mideastern 3A/4A match on Friday, March 21. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 3-6. South Brunswick won 11-5 in their recent league match against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)

The Scorpions now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Stokes for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 19. North Brunswick will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-6 non-league win over Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-1.
