The Russell County Lakers crushed the visiting Monroe County Falcons baseball team by a tally of 11-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Lakers now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Marion County for a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 20. Russell County will face a Knights team coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, KY). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
