Somerset Bulldogs (Somerset, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Carrizo Springs Wildcats (Carrizo Springs, TX), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 18-4 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasanton for a 4A Region IV District 29 match on Friday, March 22. Somerset will face a Eagles squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Devine (Devine, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Carrizo Springs moves to 5-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Floresville (Floresville, TX) to face the Tigers in a 4A Region IV District 29 match on Monday, March 25. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 13-7. Floresville won 13-5 in their recent league match against Uvalde (Uvalde, TX)
