The Manatee Hurricanes softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Lakewood Ranch Mustangs to 3 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Manatee moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Braden River (Bradenton, FL) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 20. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 6-4. Braden River lost 1-0 in their recent non-league game against Palmetto (Palmetto, FL)

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Sarasota Sailors (Sarasota, FL) in a 7A District 8 game, on Wednesday, March 20. Lakewood Ranch will attempt to move on its 1-12 season record. The Sailors come into the game with a 1-4 record after their 8-2 non-league win over Braden River (Bradenton, FL).
