The Ashe County Huskies soccer team scored 5 points and limited the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks to 1 in the Huskies non-league victory on Thursday.

Next, the Huskies face the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 7. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record.

The Blackhawks now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Wilkes for a non-league contest on Monday, March 6. West Wilkes will face a Cardinals team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-2.
