North Carolina High School Soccer - Ashe County knocks off West Wilkes

Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Huskies confront the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 14. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).

The Blackhawks now have a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alexander Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 14. West Wilkes will confront a Cougars team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over McDowell (Marion, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-1.
