The East Newton Patriots triumphed over the host College Heights Christian Cougars softball squad by a tally of 12-6 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Diamond for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. East Newton will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-0.

With the loss, College Heights Christian falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Riverton (Riverton, KS) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Riverton lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Parsons (Parsons, KS)
