Texas High School Softball - Mesquite bounces Lancaster

The Mesquite Skeeters softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Lancaster Tigers to 0 in the Skeeters league win on Thursday.

The Skeeters now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Duncanville for a 6A Region II District 11 battle on Friday, March 21. Mesquite will confront a Panthers and Pantherettes team coming off a 9-1 league win over Horn (Mesquite, TX). The Panthers and Pantherettes record now stands at 15-2.

With the loss, Lancaster moves to 17-4 on the season. The Tigers host Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX) to confront the Indians in a 6A Region II District 11 battle on Friday, March 21. The Indians come into the battle with a record of 9-7. Waxahachie won 16-1 in their recent league battle against Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX)
