The McDowell Titans baseball squad (Marion, NC), was overwhelmed 10-0 in Friday's league contest with the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC)
With the triumph, St. Stephens moves its record to 9-1 on the season. The Indians travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to confront the Spartans in a Northwestern 6A/7A contest on Tuesday, March 24. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 9-0. South Caldwell won 3-2 in their recent league battle against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
Next, the Titans face the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a Northwestern 6A/7A battle, on Tuesday, March 24. McDowell will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 6-4 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Davie County (Mocksville, NC).
