Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Cardinal Mooney Cardinals (Youngstown, OH), 6-5 in a non-league battle.
The Spartans now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Southeast for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 24. Boardman will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 16-4 league loss to Louisville (Louisville, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 1-1.
In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the West Geauga Wolverines (Chesterland, OH) in a Region 6 battle, on Saturday, April 2. Cardinal Mooney will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
