The Herndon Hornets baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting George C. Marshall Statesmen to 13 in the Hornets league victory on Tuesday.
The Hornets (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Centreville (Clifton, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Centreville was edged by Robinson (Fairfax, VA), 10-3, in a non-league match.
The Statesmen (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Wakefield (Arlington, VA). The Warriors go into the Liberty match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Wakefield was edged by Chantilly (Chantilly, VA), 10-1, in a non-league match.
