The Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) softball overwhelmed the host Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC), 17-0 in Tuesday's league game.
With the triumph, Rockingham County moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Dudley (Greensboro, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a Mid-State 3A game on Friday, March 24. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 5-4. Dudley lost 16-0 in their recent league game against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC)
In their next game, the Camels clash with the Northeast Guilford Rams (McLeansville, NC) in a Mid-State 3A game, on Friday, March 24. Atkins will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Rams come into the game with a 2-4 record after their 12-6 non-league loss to Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC).
