East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Shelby for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Friday, March 24. East Gaston will face a Golden Lions squad coming off a 14-13 non-league loss to South Point (Belmont, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Shelby falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Golden lions travel to South Point (Belmont, NC) to face the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 22. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. South Point lost 14-3 in their recent league challenge against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC)
