North Carolina High School Softball - East Gaston bounces Shelby

March 24, 2023: Mt. Holly, NC 28120

East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Highland Tech for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, March 28. East Gaston will battle a Rams squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Rams record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Shelby falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Golden lions travel to Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC) to battle the Gryphons in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Monday, March 27. The Gryphons enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Thomas Jefferson lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC)
