Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX), 13-5 in a league challenge.

The Matadors now sport a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they host Canyon for a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, March 24. Seguin will face a Cougars squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 15-0.

With the loss, Veterans Memorial falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Wagner (San Antonio, TX) to face the Thunderbirds in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, March 24. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a record of 3-15. Wagner lost 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Tivy (Kerrville, TX)
