In Friday's league outing, the host Seguin Matadors softball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Veterans Memorial Patriots.

Coming up next, the Matadors encounter the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 outing, on Tuesday, April 18. Seguin will attempt to upgrade on its 23-8 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 22-0 record after their 2-1 league win over Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX).

The Patriots (5-14) will now prepare for their outing against Wagner (San Antonio, TX). The Thunderbirds enter the 5A Region IV District 26 outing with a 3-22 record.
