North Carolina High School Softball - Elkin bounces Alleghany

The Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) softball routed the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 19-3 in Thursday's league bout.

The Buckin' Elks (6-3) will now prepare for their bout against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams go into the Northwest 1A bout with a 5-4 record. In their last bout, Starmount was routed by Reagan (Pfafftown, NC), 4-0, in a non-league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 1-6 record. They play next when they host East Wilkes for a Northwest 1A bout on Friday, March 22. Alleghany will confront a Cardinals squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-2.
