Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS) and the host Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS), witnessed Oak Grove's softball squad tip Meridian by a count of 9-2.

The Warriors now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Northwest Rankin for a 7A Region 3 match on Tuesday, March 26. Oak Grove will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 16-0.

With the loss, Meridian moves to 7-4 on the season. The Wildcats host Scott Central (Forest, MS) to meet the Rebels in a non-league match on Saturday, March 23. The Rebels go into the match with a record of 1-5.
