The Meridian Wildcats softball team (Meridian, MS), was tipped 2-1 in Tuesday's league test with the host Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS)
Coming up next, the Warriors encounter the Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) in a 7A Region 3 test, on Friday, April 12. Oak Grove will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Cougars enter the test with a 21-0 record after their 14-4 non-league win over Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS).
The Wildcats (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Perry Central (New Augusta, MS). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 8-19 record. In their last challenge, Perry Central was nipped by Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.
