North Carolina High School Baseball - Lumberton wallops Seventy-First

March 21, 2025: Lumberton, NC 28358

The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) and the visiting Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC), saw Lumberton's baseball team gain a win over Seventy-First by a tally of 15-1.

The Pirates (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams enter the United Eight 3A/4A battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Purnell Swett was overwhelmed by Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC), 5-3, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Falcons face the Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, March 25. Seventy-First will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 0-6 record after their 22-0 league loss to Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC).
