In Friday's league test, the Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX) softball squad the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX), by a tally of 22-19.

Next, the Tigers meet the Hidalgo Pirates (Hidalgo, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 32 test, on Friday, March 28. Valley View will attempt to advance on its 7-7 season record.

The Tarpons (1-8) will now prepare for their test against Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX). The Pirates go into the 4A Region IV District 32 test with a 0-9 record. In their last test, Hidalgo was routed by La Feria (La Feria, TX), 15-0, in a league test.
