The North Gaston Wildcats softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Ashbrook Greenwave to 2 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, North Gaston moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Crest (Shelby, NC) to clash with the Chargers in a Big South 3A game on Friday, March 25. The Chargers come into the game with a record of 7-1. Crest won 15-0 in their recent league game against South Point (Belmont, NC)

In their next game, the Greenwave clash with the Stuart W. Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC) in a Big South 3A game, on Friday, March 25. Ashbrook will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Storm come into the game with a 5-2 record after their 24-0 league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC).
