The Merkel Badgers softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Jim Ned Indians to 1 in the Badgers league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Merkel improves its record to 8-0 on the year. The Badgers travel to Clyde (Clyde, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A Region I District 6 game on Friday, March 25. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 13-3. Clyde won 11-0 in their recent league game against Wall (Wall, TX)

In their next game, the Indians clash with the Grape Creek Eagles (San Angelo, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 game, on Friday, March 25. Jim Ned will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 0-8 record after their 21-2 league loss to Wall (Wall, TX).
