Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX) and the host Jim Ned Indians (Tuscola, TX), witnessed Merkel's softball squad prevail over Jim Ned by a score of 14-2.

Coming up next, the Badgers encounter the Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 test, on Friday, April 22. Merkel will attempt to improve on its 15-0 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 19-5 record after their 8-2 league loss to Wall (Wall, TX).
