Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hilltoppers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fleming for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. Glass will face a Colonels squad coming off a 21-0 non-league loss to Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, William Campbell falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Gretna (Gretna, VA) to face the Hawks in a Dogwood challenge on Monday, March 27. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Gretna lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA)
