The Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) baseball got by the visiting Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV), 3-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Elkins for a Big Ten challenge on Tuesday, March 25. Lincoln will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 19-5 non-league loss to Brooke (Wellsburg, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Hampshire drops to 0-3 on the year. The Trojans host Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 25. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 2-1. Hedgesville won 17-7 in their recent non-league outing against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV)
