New Mexico High School Softball - Cibola topped by La Cueva

March 22, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87114

La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), 24-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, La Cueva upgrades its record to 8-3 on the year. The Bears host Robertson (Las Vegas, NM) to play the Cardinals in a non-league game on Friday, March 28. The Cardinals enter the game with a record of 1-4. Robertson won 15-2 in their recent non-league game against Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM)

The Cougars now own a 10-1 record. They play next when they host Valencia for a non-league game on Thursday, March 27. Cibola will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 20-5 non-league loss to West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-6.
