New Mexico High School Softball - Cibola held off by La Cueva

May 15, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87122

In Thursday's non-league test, the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) softball squad got by the visiting Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), by a tally of 4-3.

Next, the Bears clash with the Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league test, on Friday, May 16. La Cueva will attempt to advance on its 26-3 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 28-0 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM).

The Cougars (23-6) will now prepare for their test against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen/Cavegirls go into the non-league test with a 21-7 record. In their last test, Carlsbad was nudged by Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM), 4-2, in a non-league test.
