Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) boosters exited the stadium content Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the visiting Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 8-7 in a league battle.

The Pioneers now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside-Durham for a non-league battle on Friday, March 24. Watauga will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 16-3 league loss to Carrboro (Carrboro, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 4-2.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills contest, on Tuesday, March 28. Patton will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record.
