Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastside for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. Patrick Henry will face a Spartans squad coming off a 14-1 non-league win over Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Unaka falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Rangers host University (Johnson City, TN) to face the Buccaneers in a 1A District 1 challenge on Monday, March 27. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. University lost 17-0 in their recent league challenge against North Greene (Greeneville, TN)
