In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting St. Joseph Flyers baseball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Calhoun Sandcrabs.
The Flyers (14-7) will now prepare for their game against San Antonio Christian (San Antonio, TX). The Lions go into the TAPPS Division II District 4 game with a 13-2 record. In their last game, San Antonio Christian was edged by Central Catholic (San Antonio, TX), 9-0, in a non-league game.
The Sandcrabs (13-8) will now prepare for their game against Jones (Beeville, TX). The Trojans go into the 4A Region IV District 30 game with a 8-11 record. In their last game, Jones was edged by Robstown (Robstown, TX), 6-0, in a non-league game.
