The Gonzaga Eagles baseball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting DeMatha Stags to 1 in the Eagles league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles (7-1) will now prepare for their match against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets go into the Washington Catholic match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, St. John's tipped Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD), 13-3, in a non-league match.
The Stags (8-1) will now prepare for their match against Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA). The Knights go into the Washington Catholic match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Bishop O'Connell tipped Collegiate (Richmond, VA), 9-2, in a non-league match.
