Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) and the visiting Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), observed Ponderosa's volleyball team gain a win over Placer by a final score of 3-0.

The Bruins (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA). The Knights come into the Foothill Valley battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Rio Linda achieved victory over Oakmont (Roseville, CA), 3-0, in a league bout.

The Hillmen now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Nevada Union for a Foothill Valley bout on Tuesday, March 29. Placer will play a Miners squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Miners record now stands at 12-2.
