In Friday's league game, the visiting Ledford Panthers baseball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the Central Davidson Spartans.
The Panthers (9-1) will now prepare for their game against Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Timberwolves go into the Mid-Piedmont 3A game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Montgomery Central was overwhelmed by North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 11-1, in a league game.
The Spartans (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Blue Comets go into the Mid-Piedmont 3A game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Asheboro was overwhelmed by Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC), 9-5, in a league game.
