The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Topsail won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC)

With the defeat, Laney falls to 4-3 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to encounter the Cougars in a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. South Brunswick lost 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)
