Stamford Bulldogs (Stamford, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad smash the host Anson Tigers (Anson, TX), 36-2 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hawley for a 2A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Stamford will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Haskell (Haskell, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, Anson falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hamlin (Hamlin, TX) to face the Pied Pipers in a 2A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Pied Pipers enter the challenge with a record of 15-5. Hamlin won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Borden County (Gail, TX)
