Stamford Bulldogs (Stamford, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Anson Tigers (Anson, TX), 19-7 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hawley for a 2A Region I District 7 game on Tuesday, April 18. Stamford will clash with a Bearcats team coming off a 10-2 league win over Haskell (Haskell, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 16-9.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Hamlin Pied Pipers (Hamlin, TX) in a 2A Region I District 7 game, on Tuesday, April 18. Anson will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record. The Pied Pipers come into the game with a 19-6 record after their 19-15 non-league win over Hermleigh (Hermleigh, TX).
